Reaseheath College’s equine student arena party earned praise from the highest industry professionals for helping to keep the Equerry Bolesworth International Horse Show running despite exceptionally challenging weather.
Although the public were unable to access the show due to waterlogged ground, the five days of elite equine sport continued to run. Reaseheath’s team of almost 40 students provided a stellar service in the showjumping and dressage arenas, helping organisers keep to the packed schedule of international classes.
Paying tribute to the professional attitude and competency of the students, Managing Director Nina Barbour said:
“Reaseheath’s arena party has been part of an incredible team helping us to keep the show on the road under difficult conditions. I’d like to offer huge thanks to the students for their indispensable support, which is really appreciated.”

“I think Reaseheath’s arena party has done an amazing job, not just in the jumping and dressage arenas but in helping with every aspect of the show’s organisation.
“I have a long connection with Reaseheath’s equine department and I applaud the college for embracing the need for students to get a real taste of what the industry needs on a practical level.”

International coach and course designer Captain Mark Phillips, who designed the eventing grand prix course, said:
“We’ve had an excellent arena party which has enabled us to provide a great competition for the riders and great entertainment for those on site and able to watch.”
Members of the arena party, who came from Reaseheath’s Nantwich campus and its outreach centre, Burrows Lane Equestrian Centre, Prescot, benefit from the college’s partnership with Bolesworth International by gaining experience of event management at a worldclass level and networking with influential individuals and organisations. Reaseheath has supported this spectacular event, which attracts leading competitors from many nations, for the past six years.
