The British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre (BTRC) is delighted to announce Equisafety will be supporting the Ride for Retraining campaign.
To celebrate the BTRC’s 25th anniversary, the charity has launched a unique nationwide initiative – Ride for Retraining.
The campaign is underway to raise a massive £100,000 by riding around the equivalent of the United Kingdom coastline!
The scheme will see horse riders from the length and breadth of Britain taking part and joining forces to tally up the total mileage with a target of 7,723 miles – the distance around Britain’s mainland coast.
Equisafety has kindly donated gift vouchers to spend on their website to riders who raise the most money – £100, £75 and £50 for first, second and third.
Equisafety provide technical reflective sportswear, to keep both rider and horse safe.
Nicky Fletcher, Equisafety’s Managing Director, said: “We are very pleased to donate these vouchers to the BTRC to encourage riders to take up the challenge and raise as much money as possible for this very worthwhile charity.”
To take part all you have to do is sign up for the Ride for Retraining campaign on the website, receive a free Ride for Retraining hi-viz tabard and ride as many miles as you can, on your own, with a friend or as part of a planned ride such as a pleasure ride or endurance activity.
All money raised will go to building a further 40 stables at the British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre in Lancashire – doubling the size of the current facility with the aim of helping even more of the thousands of racehorses retired from the sport each year.
So don’t delay, sign up for Ride for Retraining today and support the BTRC.
