When dressage horse, Ella went down with laminitis, owner Catherine Dodd wanted to do everything she could to help.
Now eight-years-old, Ella is a British Sports Horse that Catherine competes in dressage and has owned since she was a yearling.
Said Catherine: “Ella is a lovely horse and when she started to struggle in April this year I knew I had to do everything I could to help her.
“I could tell the issue was spring grass related and also the impact of hard ground on her hooves.
“She was very pottery in the mornings and I wanted to try and make her as comfortable and stress free as possible.”
After veterinary advice Catherine changed Ella’s management routine which saw a big improvement.
She also added a supplement to her feed and was delighted when she started to see an improvement within a few days.
“Ella was much more comfortable and it was so nice to see her getting better and when I was able to star riding her again it really made me smile,” added Catherine.
