All Systems Go For Aske Horse Trials

19th May 2022 By

ONE of Yorkshire’s premier horse trials, Aske Horse Trials – July 9 and 10 – provides a fantastic venue and excellent ground for competitors in the north.

Plans are well underway to step the 2022 show case up a level with organiser’s BEDE Events pulling out all the stops to ensure a good run for riders heading into the second half of the season and the busy autumn fixtures.

This well-established event runs over undulating park land on the Aske Hall Estate with the Georgian country house near Richmond in the background.

Thanks to support from the Earl and Countess Ronaldshay the event is held in picturesque surrounds and always proves popular with competitors across the levels.

Sections include BE80, BE90, BE100, BE100 Open, Novice, Open Novice, Intermediate and Open Intermediate.

Said organiser Stuart Buntine: “Aske Horse Trials is a great Yorkshire venue that always has good ground even when the south is struggling and it is well worth competitors making the trip.

“This year we have a new BE80 course and the very exciting Sue Carson Saddles Challenge running.

“Taking place at BE80, 90 and 100 levels, riders will earn points at Skipton 1 on July 2 and 3, Aske on July 9 and 10, and Skipton 2 on August 6 and 7 for placings, completions and double clears.

“The challenge is aimed at encouraging grass roots riders to compete at the three events and to really gain momentum throughout the summer season.

“Supported by Sue Carson Saddles the series winners will receive a host of prizes including Sue Carson Saddles branded rugs, cash prizes to the top four in each section across the series and rosettes.”
