I hope I find you well and looking forward to the competition season ahead.
Preparations here are going well here. Brad is gaining fitness nicely and becoming sharper every day. He has begun his trips to the treadmill again at Priory Farm and regular trips to the gallops. Improvements have been made to his weaker movements in the British Eventing Advanced Tests and he was throwing a super jump over the Showjumps at a recent outing to Addington.
I’m getting to know my two new rides ready for Aston Le Walls at the beginning of March, as well as keeping Rowan ticking along.
Our recent dressage and show jumping outings were very useful even if one of the horses at Bury farm was a little overly excited in the dressage due to having just finished box rest ! At Addington all three horses were very eager to jump and show off which felt super for the season ahead. Half term has been very busy, teaching for five different pony club branches and trying to keep up with my normal work. We took three cross-country schooling to Tweseldown, they had plenty to jump of all shapes, sizes and technicality. So, we left feeling very pleased and itching to get out to Aston in a couple of weeks time! The yard is continually improving and the wash bay is pretty much done including the fitting of our solarium which is really exciting news. As we start fast approaching the season ahead here looking forward to saying much more next month, so best get cracking!
