Emma Alcorn Chosen as HorseHage & Mollichaff’s New Brand Ambassador

2nd November 2019 By

HorseHage & Mollichaff, the names behind the well-known high fibre forage, chaffs and complete feeds, have selected young rider, Emma Alcorn, from Northamptonshire as their new Brand Ambassador.

To celebrate the launch of HorseHage & Mollichaff’s sponsorship of British Riding Clubs (BRC) Intermediate Winter Championships, 16-year-old Emma was chosen from dozens of entries of amateur riders to represent the brands for 12 months.

Her prize includes £500 worth of HorseHage and Mollichaff products, a branded jacket, saddlecloth and rug and a regular blog spot on the HorseHage and Mollichaff website.

Emma is an enthusiastic member of Bozeat Riding Club and has been riding since she was eight years old. Her main competition pony is Mac’s Boy (Mac), a 14.2hh, six-year-old Connemara gelding who she brought over from Ireland as a rising four-year-old and backed and produced herself.

The pair compete mainly in show-jumping up to 1.10m but have also participated in eventing and cross-country. In January of this year they were placed fifth individually and tenth as a team nationally in the BRC Junior Novice Winter 80 Show Jumping Championships.

Said Kelly Bellham, Chairperson at Bozeat Riding Club:

“Emma has been a member of Bozeat Riding Club from its formation and it has been amazing to see her and Mac’s Boy progress. She is a very talented young lady and is a valued junior member of our riding club. I look forward to supporting and watching them both grow even more but most importantly, having fun together.”

Said Chris Tar, of HorseHage:

“We are delighted to have Emma on board to represent our brands for the coming year and to be able to reinforce our support of British Riding Clubs. These local clubs are wonderful organisations and provide the starting point for many young riders competing in equestrian disciplines.”

Following a feed assessment from one of HorseHage’s equine feed advisers, Mac will enjoy HorseHage High Fibre forage which is dust-free – a vital requirement for any horse or pony, but especially those competing – and is also low in sugar, starch and energy. He will also be fed on Mollichaff HoofKind Complete – a complete fibre-based concentrate feed which is also low in starch and sugar and high in fibre. It does not contain any cereals and, when fed at the recommended levels, can be used as the sole bucket feed alongside good quality forage.

Said Emma:

“Being chosen as the Brand Ambassador for HorseHage and Mollichaff has been a dream come true for me and I am thrilled to have this amazing opportunity. I have a real passion for the products and look forward to representing them when out and about competing, and also online via social media.”
